Our very own, Paul Faris, returned earlier this summer from his "California Dreamin' Trip" to the beautiful, sun-drenched Imperial Valley where as a member of the 'Kiwanis Early Risers' club he apparently got up early to beat the heat and get some fellowship all in the name of a good cause -- 'the kids.'
The Kiwanis Early Risers of El Central, California, were so impressed with Paul's level of participation that they honored him with a plaque 'In Appreciation'

Now the mystery.... Andrea Carter, club vice-president also presented Paul with a rubber chicken and a megaphone from the Kiwanis Early Risers club. photo by Jeff Wenzel

Paul, what is the significance of this award and why didn't you assemble it properly once Andrea handed over the components feigning confusion? photo credit: Kiwanis Early Risers (facebook)
